Wrigleys : Wrigley Pacific Sustainability Report 2010
18 PUTTING OUR PRINCIPLES INTO ACTION Go Green Go Green is Wrigley’s global grassroots Associate-led program designed to integrate sustainable practices and principles into our everyday business operations and workplace behaviours. The program brings together cross-functional teams that are empowered to develop and implement action plans customised for the needs of each specific Wrigley site. In 2010, a number of Go Green action plans were designed and implemented across Wrigley’s Australian sites, including energy reduction schemes, reuse and recycling initiatives and responsible disposal practices. Go Green will officially launch at our commercial office in New Zealand in 2011. ... in asquitH Plastic and paper waste has been significantly reduced at our Asquith manufacturing site following the introduction of purified water systems, drinking fountains and personalised ceramic mugs. The removal of individual rubbish bins at each Associate’s desk has stimulated a marked increase in recycling behaviours. To communicate the latest information on their progress against various sustainability initiatives, the Asquith Go Green team has installed televisions in common areas including the canteen and open plan office spaces. These televisions provide up-to-date information on specific sustainability metrics, project case studies and key achievements. Go Green Champions Asquith
